Kateryna Stukalova

Art historian, art critic, curator

Graduated the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Theory and History of Art Department). In 1994–1997 was a co-founder and editor of the first Ukrainian contemporary art magazine Terra Incognita. In 1998–2000 worked for Info Media Bank Centre for Contemporary Art at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (former Soros Center for Contemporary Art). In 1999–2002 co-founded and curated the Kyiv International Festival of Media Arts. In 2001–2002 co-curated Ukrainian participation in the international interdisciplinary project «Overtures über Wasser», Munich — Gelsenkirchen, Germany. In 2011–2013 taught at the Curatorial School, RA Gallery, Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2013 worked as a managing editor of the Art Ukraine magazine.

Author of numerous articles about contemporary art in the national and international periodicals: Terra Incognita, Khydozhestvennyi Zhurnal (Moscow Art Magazine), Gallery, Art Line, Umelec, Kontura, Grapheion, Contemporary, Znaki.fm, Ukrainska Pravda, Kommersant, Capital etc.
